Hi Everyone
In lock down I miss my cousins.  I hope that I get my birthday.  I get device time in the morning and night  I’m thankful that I’ve got so much stuff to do.  One of the best parts is watching the Flecks on their jump on the drive.  My favourite thing in lock down is playing on the play house.  The first thing I am going to do when lockdown is over is play with the Lonsdale’s Puppy.
From Charlie

Hi Charlie
It's great to hear from you and I hope you that by May 15th we are all back too!
Thanks for writing to us :-)

Hello everyone!
Sorry for the delay in putting up the challenge for tomorrows zoom session.

1) Try to put a different background on your screen.

*** if you can't workout how to put up a background just a draw a picture of a new place and you can hold up your new background

2) Write a short story about where you are - what people live there?
                                                                     - how did you get there?
                                                                     - did anyone else go with you?
                                                                     - what type of food can you eat?

3) Draw a picture of any creatures that live there.

Mrs Starkey

Every afternoon I take my dog Hazel for a big walk through the pine trees in Cromwell.  Yesterday it was lovely to discover other things growing among the pine needles.

Henry

Henry loves science so they have been doing heaps of experiments, one of their favourites was testing different theories on how to make their own glow in the dark lava lamp.

Rufus

Rufus has been enjoying getting creative at home. One day they read ‘Iggy Peck architect’ and then made their own buildings out of junk!
They also loved playing in the snow when it came, and Rufus has really enjoyed taking care of two ponies they’re looking after during lockdown.

Monday 20 April 2020

Cooper has been very busy remaking all the LEGO sets with dad, lots of bike rides, learning how to skateboard, some star watching when it’s a clear night and lots of walks with Dozer the dog!  Check out these great photos.

The Next Challenge

Hello everyone we hope you are all enjoying seeing each other on Zoom.
Here are three more challenges for you to try - you can show them on your next zoom time!

1)   Teddy on the Stairs

Barney the bear is climbing up a staircase of 10 steps.

Barney can only climb 1 or 2 stairs each time.

He can never climb down only up.

What are the different ways can Barney go up the flight of 10 steps?

For example:
Barney can go up the stairs 1111111111
(one stair at a time 10 times)

Remember there are lots of different ways :-)

2)   Teddy went to the shop.

Can you write the same sentence and use another word for went?

For example:
Teddy ran to the shop.

How many sentences can you write?

3)   Make an origami teddy

His favorite species of bear is officially the polar bear.  He’s enjoyed watching a few National Geographic videos about polar bears too.

Great work Jackson.

Friday 17 April 2020

Hi Mrs Thomas
I have been riding my motorbike and mountain bike around our house. I wear lots of protective gear.
My sister and I have done a few art projects together.
I love playing with my dog now that her broken leg is all better. We have been taking her for lots of walks.
I have been out on walks with my family on tracks near our house.
Mum and Dad harvested the grapes on our vineyard, Isla and I helped pick the grapes and put them in buckets. Then they are sent off to be made into wine.
(Thanks for typing mum).

Wow Seb you look very cool in all your motorbike gear! I am glad your dog's leg is better - my dog is going to miss ALL the walks he is getting, when I have to go back to work :-)
Hi team - here is your Thinking outside the box challenge.  Mrs Starkey and I really look forward to seeing everyone's different ideas in our Zoom meetings next week.

Remember you can turn the paper around and draw your picture from any angle.
Have fun, see you on Monday :-)

Here are some photos of Mitch. I can see Mitch has been out in our beautiful surroundings, playing with his sister and making some awesome things with Lego! I love that you are learning to cook and bake - maybe you can start bringing Mum and Dad breakfast in bed!
Great job Mitch.
